How to Find People in Paradise
Start with the fact already known. A full name can lead into recorded deeds, court cases, business filings, or a current custody search. A street address is often more useful in the Clark County Assessor because it can produce the parcel number, current owner, and tax-mailing address. An older address calls for one more step: use the assessor result to identify the parcel, then follow recorded deeds backward by party name, document number, or book and page. A phone number has less direct value in official county systems, but a published government, school, or university directory may identify a work contact.
Paradise search records sit with several keepers. Work from a broad identifier toward a record-specific key, and retain dates as well as spelling variants. Common names become far easier to separate when a filing date, parcel number, case number, or middle initial travels with them.
- Check whether the address is legally in unincorporated Paradise, even if its mail says Las Vegas.
- Use the Assessor to turn an address into an owner name and assessor parcel number, or APN.
- Carry that name or APN into the Recorder index to find deeds, liens, and related instruments.
- Search the correct county court by party name, then use the case number for the official file.
- Move offline to a public terminal, microfilm, archive, or narrow records request when web coverage ends.
Note: Save the exact portal result and search date because ownership, case status, custody, and mailing information can change.
Why Paradise Searches Use Clark County
Paradise is an unincorporated town and census-designated place, not an incorporated city with its own clerk, recorder, or municipal court. Clark County offices therefore keep the core land, permit, assessment, election, and advisory-board records. The famous resort corridor and Harry Reid International Airport are key examples: they may be described as Las Vegas in postal or travel use, but much of that geography is governed as unincorporated Paradise.
This distinction prevents a costly wrong turn. A person linked to a Paradise apartment, resort parcel, or business may appear under LAS VEGAS as the mailing city while the assessor shows PARADISE as the legal town. Keep both place labels in the search notes. OpenWeb GIS can confirm the township and parcel context before the reader chooses a records desk.
Geography key: A Las Vegas mailing address does not prove City of Las Vegas jurisdiction. Confirm the parcel in Clark County records first.
Note: Keep both the postal city and legal township in search notes because different Paradise records may display either place label.
Paradise Records Offices and Search Roles
No single office holds a complete Paradise identity trail. The Recorder indexes land instruments and marriage certificates. The Assessor connects owners with parcels and tax-mailing destinations. The court clerk maintains district cases, including probate. Southern Nevada Health District and the Nevada Office of Vital Records handle restricted birth and death certificates. The elected County Clerk handles marriage licensing and proof, fictitious firm names, oaths, and commission records, but it is not the Clerk of the Court.
The three desks below cover the most common transitions from index to source record. A web result is often only a summary. Contact the office that owns the record when a certified copy, old file, exhibit, or nonpublic certificate is needed.

Paradise Recorder Name Search
The Clark County Recorder is the strongest official name index for a long property trail. It records deeds, deeds of trust, leases, liens, reconveyances, homesteads, maps, surveys, and marriage certificates. Official Records are searchable online from 1988, UCC records from 1986, and federal tax liens from 1984. Clark County recorded documents reach back to the county's 1909 start, with older indexes available on microfilm.
Use a date range and document type when a surname produces too many results. A grantor is a party transferring an interest, while a grantee receives it. Related instrument numbers can connect a deed of trust to its later reconveyance or a filing to a correction. The public web result is a short index summary, not the original document image.
| Search field | Best use | Format note |
|---|---|---|
| Party name | Find a person or organization | Try surname and organization variants |
| Date range | Separate common-name results | Uses recording dates |
| Document type | Limit deeds, liens, maps, or releases | Choose the relevant instrument class |
| Document number | Return to a known filing | Use the Recorder-assigned number |
| Book and page | Trace an older reference | Enter the paired citation |
The Clark County Recorder search interface shows where a Paradise name query begins.
The portal supplies the filing key needed to order a copy or inspect the original at the Recorder counter. Before 1988, requesters can use office microfilm and contact the Recorder for page counts rather than treating an online miss as the end of the trail.
Paradise Address and Owner Search
An address-first search belongs in Clark County Real Property Records. Search choices include owner name, parcel number, address, subdivision name, subdivision owners, parcel type with book and page, and a parcel-number tree. A result can show the APN, owner names, tax-mailing address, situs address, legal description, values, maps, sketches, and recorded-document references. Situs means the physical parcel location. The mailing address is where the tax bill goes, so it can be a contact lead but does not prove that the owner lives on the property.
The Clark County Assessor property search presents the official routes into the roll.
After the result appears, copy the APN exactly and open any linked recorded-document reference. Then move to the Recorder to identify prior owners and the instruments that changed title. If City/Town is uncertain, omit that field and verify the legal boundary in Clark County OpenWeb GIS.
Note: The assessor displays no more than two owner-name lines; ETAL means additional owners exist beyond those shown.
Paradise Court Records Name Lookup
Choose the court before entering the name. Las Vegas Township Justice Court handles many misdemeanors, traffic matters, limited civil cases, small claims, protection-order matters, and early felony stages arising in the township. Eighth Judicial District Court handles general civil and criminal cases, family matters, probate, guardianship, and appeals from lower courts. Las Vegas Municipal Court applies to events inside incorporated Las Vegas, not merely to an address with Las Vegas on its mail.
District Court search fields include case number, party or last and first name, case type or status, and a filed-date range. Justice Court offers case, citation, and party modes. Clark County's wider justice eServices also accepts name, case number, or ticket number, but warns that citations can take two to three weeks to post. A docket is the court's chronological list of filings and events. It may show parties, counsel, hearing dates, document titles, status, and disposition, while sealed, juvenile, adoption, and protected family information remains hidden or redacted.
The Eighth Judicial District Court portal is the official source for the Paradise case-search screenshot and current inquiry entry.
District Court records begin in September 1909, and most records from 1990 forward can be searched online. For an archived file, exhibit, certified copy, or allowed material omitted from remote view, call the court clerk or use the public records counter and terminal at the Regional Justice Center.
Note: An online miss can reflect spelling, court choice, old coverage, delayed posting, sealing, or redaction rather than proof that no case exists.
Paradise Probate Search for Heirs
Probate records offer a careful route for finding an heir or estate representative. Search the District Court portal by the decedent's name, then inspect the public docket for petitions, orders, notices, inventories, and representative appointments. Open filings may identify heirs, attorneys, creditors, mailing addresses, and property. Some values, identifiers, or family details can be sealed or redacted, so the index should guide a request for the official case file rather than stand in for it.
A useful Paradise chain runs from probate to land records. Take the decedent or personal representative name to the Recorder, match instruments by parcel and date, and compare the current owner and tax-mailing address in the Assessor. This sequence can show how an estate-related parcel moved and who had the legal role to act. It cannot prove a present home address on its own.
Adoption and birth-parent searches follow a different path. Nevada adoption records are confidential, so use the statutory court, agency, reunion, or consent process instead of an ordinary open-record request.
Paradise Vital Records Search Paths
Birth, death, marriage, and divorce are four distinct searches. Southern Nevada Health District issues Clark County birth certificates from 1973 and death certificates from 1988. The Nevada Office of Vital Records is the legal statewide custodian for births and deaths filed from July 1, 1911. These certificates do not have an unrestricted public name index. Qualified applicants must show identity and the relationship or legal interest required by the current form.
Marriage proof comes from the Clark County Clerk, while the recorded marriage certificate can also appear in Recorder holdings. A public District Court divorce case and decree are different from the state Office of Vital Records marriage or divorce verification. Nevada law opens birth records after 125 years and death records after 50 years, but historical eligibility does not guarantee a free web index. Events before July 1911 may require county, archive, church, cemetery, newspaper, or family sources.
The Nevada vital-record custodian page identifies the right form and office for each event.
The current application controls eligibility, identity proof, delivery, and price. Check it before ordering because agency forms and charges can change.
Paradise Business Record Lookups
A business name can reveal the people formally tied to an entity. Paradise is unincorporated, so the Clark County Business License search is the local licensing route, not the City of Las Vegas system. Its advertised filters include category, subcategory, license date, and ZIP. Fictitious firm names belong to the County Clerk. Regulated professions remain split among Nevada boards, so there is no single complete professional directory.
SilverFlume, the Nevada Secretary of State business index, can be searched by entity name or number. Public results may show status, formation details, registered agent, addresses, and roles reported in filings. Compare those names with a county fictitious-name filing, business license, recorded instrument, or property roll before deciding that two similar entities are the same.
The SilverFlume business search is the statewide starting point for entity records.
The index confirms public filing roles, not every person who works at or uses a business. For local directory routes beyond business filings, consult the Paradise people directories.
Paradise Custody Record Searches
County jail and state prison tools answer different questions. Clark County Detention Center covers current local custody. Its search accepts one key at a time: at least two letters of a last name, an inmate ID, or a Justice Court case number. After a broad name result, use the ID or case number to separate people with similar names. Charges and custody can change, and an arrest does not establish a conviction.
Nevada Department of Corrections covers state offenders and allows an exact numeric offender ID or a first-and-last-name search with wildcard support. Its results may show the offender number, name, gender, institution, and a status clue. NDOC also publishes alias, booking, parole, release, and demographic datasets. A county-jail miss does not rule out state or federal custody.
The Clark County Detention Center search page explains the current-custody route.
Treat a result as a time-stamped custody record. Verify identity with the case number and court file, especially when a common name produces more than one match.
Paradise Archive and Genealogy Search
Online county systems favor recent records, but Paradise family and community research has two strong archive routes. The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District provides genealogy resources that include Ancestry Library Edition, Fold3 Library Edition, HeritageQuest Online, MyHeritage Library Edition, NewspaperArchive, and historical Review-Journal access. Exact year-by-year holdings of printed and reverse directories are not safely fixed online, so ask library staff to confirm a volume instead of assuming it exists.
UNLV Special Collections and Archives sits in Paradise and holds Southern Nevada material on resorts, gaming, entertainment, architecture, maps, oral histories, and community organizations. Newspapers can connect a resident with an obituary, legal notice, school, club, or business when a deed or directory has a gap. Oral histories add a person's own account of migration and community life, while finding aids can expose board and member names hidden in organization files.
The UNLV Special Collections portal is the source for collection descriptions and research access.
Use dates, name variants, an address, and an organization when contacting an archive. A narrow request helps staff identify newspapers, maps, photographs, manuscripts, and oral histories that a general web search misses.
Note: Ask library staff to confirm exact printed directory years because the available catalog does not publish a reliable volume-by-volume list.
Paradise Voter Records Snapshot
Nevada's registered-voter service is authenticated self-service. A voter enters first and last name, the last four digits of a Social Security or driver's-license number, and a birth date to view or update their own record. It is not an open search for someone else. Clark County separately publishes free weekly voter-list files in countywide and district versions, including active-only and active-plus-inactive editions.
The public file includes identity, registration, district, residence, mailing, party, and participation fields subject to statutory protections. It never reveals how someone voted. Social Security, driver-license or state-ID numbers, and election-process email remain confidential, while address and phone withholding may apply. Paradise can be encoded through township, precinct, or unincorporated district rather than a city value. The complete field and status treatment belongs in the Paradise voter records lookup.
Paradise Public Records Request Fallback
When a portal ends, identify the exact custodian before filing. Clark County Communications is not the keeper of police, detention, court, or birth and death records. A useful Nevada Public Records Act request names the department, describes an existing record, supplies a person, address, APN, case, instrument, permit, or application number, narrows the date range, and states the desired format. The agency need not create a new report or answer a research question.
Under NRS 239.0107, the custodian must act by the end of the fifth business day. It may provide access, report that it lacks custody and identify the likely keeper, give written notice with an expected date, or deny in writing with the precise confidentiality rule. Five days is a response deadline, not a promise that a large production will be finished. Ordinary copy fees are generally tied to actual direct cost under NRS 239.052, while extraordinary use can carry an estimated charge under NRS 239.055.
The Nevada Public Records Act supplies the request, redaction, fee, and review rules. Ask for the separable public remainder when only part of a file is confidential.
- Index
- A searchable summary that points to a source document or file.
- Certified copy
- An official copy authenticated by the custodian, often for a stated fee.
- Custodian
- The office legally responsible for the requested record.
- Redaction
- The removal of protected details while the public remainder is released.
Note: Building, land-use, and code records also accept department forms, email, mail, or counter requests when their online document tools do not return the file.
Privacy in Paradise People Searches
Official records and compiled commercial reports are not the same. A custodian maintains the source record under a statute and office policy. A commercial service may combine old public data with other material, so identity matching and freshness vary. Removing a profile from a republisher does not erase a deed, court index, voter record, or assessment roll held by government.
| Source | What it provides | Best check |
|---|---|---|
| Official custodian | Index, file, or certified record within legal limits | Confirm dates and request the source document |
| Commercial compilation | Combined data that may be stale or mismatched | Trace each claim back to an official source |
| Archive or library | Historic newspapers, directories, and collections | Record the title, date, and collection citation |
Nevada's Confidential Address Program supplies a fictitious address and mail forwarding for qualifying survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and stalking. Protected voters can also have actual address information withheld under election rules. The Nevada Attorney General's CAP page explains the official application route through a certified agency representative.
Lawful use only: Paradise records may support family history, estate work, civic review, or scam checks. Never use them to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
